My Education & Naturopathic Journey

I was born and raised on Canada’s picturesque East Coast in Saint John, New Brunswick. After graduating from a university preparatory program at Saint John High School, I attended Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where I received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology and a minor in psychology. I received my designation of Naturopathic Doctor (ND) from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario; an intensive four year Naturopathic medical program with a year internship in the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. I love learning, especially about anything natural health related and I make an effort to keep up to date on new research; in addition I regularly participate in a variety of natural health education opportunities. I practiced as a Naturopathic Doctor for 5 years in Vancouver & Whistler BC, then moved to New Brunswick to be close to family, where I had a busy and thriving Naturopathic practice for 4 years.

My Passion

I have loved being a Naturopathic Doctor for the past 10 years; working with people to take control of their health & healing, to reach their health goals and to maximize their potential. These days I really enjoy getting out into the community and doing speaking engagements on women’s health, pediatrics, stress, environmental medicine and disease prevention. Writing is something I have always had passion for and I currently enjoy writing pieces on natural health, diet and naturopathic medicine.

I have taught at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Vancouver; and was a clinical supervisor at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC.

I currently reside in Vancouver, BC with my family. I have called the West Coast home since graduating from my undergraduate degree. The natural outdoors in beautiful British Columbia provides endless opportunities for physical exercise and enjoyment of nature.

I have a wonderful, smart, healthy 4 year old daughter who inspires and delights me daily; without a doubt she is the apple of my eye! My husband, daughter and I lead an active lifestyle, eat organic and believe in maintaining a natural and healthy home environment free of chemicals and artificial fragrances.

I am extremely passionate about natural health and healing, and I like to empower and educate people on natural, gentle and effective ways that they can achieve maximum health.

“I believe that a healthy environment, lifestyle & diet are the fundamental basis of good health & happiness, and that preventative medicine is the key to a thriving society. By modeling a healthy lifestyle for our children and grandchildren, we will inspire them to grow up with healthy habits and an abundance of vitality”.

I am a member in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
