ABOUT ME
My Education & Naturopathic Journey
I was born and raised on Canada’s picturesque East Coast in Saint John, New Brunswick. After graduating from a university preparatory program at Saint John High School, I attended Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where I received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology and a minor in psychology. I received my designation of Naturopathic Doctor (ND) from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario in 2007; an intensive four year Naturopathic medical program.
I currently have a private Naturopathic practice in Vancouver, BC where I am making the most out of living through a pandemic by seeing patients online using telemedicine. In addition, I work as a Clinical Supervisor at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Boucher campus in New Westminster, BC.
My Passion
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I love working with people to take control of their health & healing, and assisting them to reach their health goals.
Writing is also something I have always had passion for, and these days I have been enjoying writing about pediatric health, diet and weight loss and supporting immunity through nutrition. Prior to Covid, I enjoyed getting out into the community and doing speaking engagements on kid’s health, women’s health, stress, environmental medicine and disease prevention.
I also love learning, and I make an effort to keep up to date on new research, as well as attending a variety of natural health educational opportunities.
I’d sum up my views on health by saying:
“Optimal health comes from being balanced mentally, emotionally, and physically. A healthy diet is the foundation that good health is built upon. Ultimately, preventative medicine is the key to a thriving society and by modeling a healthy environment, diet and lifestyle for our children and grandchildren, we will inspire a generation to grow up with healthy habits and an abundance of vitality”.
